In the United States, everyone is supposed to have the same rights under the law. Sometimes that does not happen.
Civil rights violations can occur when you are discriminated against based on: Age, Gender, Disability, Nationality, Race, Religion.
Civil rights violations can also occur when: You are arrested for no reason during a routine stop; You are arrested as a result of racial or minority group profiling; Negligence in jail; or Use of excessive force and beating.
